District bargain walking weekend for less than £10 per night. Ambleside YHA is set on the shore line,
with panoramic views of the lake and mountains. With easy access to several
Wainwright peaks and pubs afterwards. Don’t be put off by the bargain price if
you have never stayed at a YHA before. They offer
good quality accommodation but we got a fantastic group discount for Take A
Hike 4 and 6 bed private rooms (separate male or female). Places are limited
so grab a bargain quick. If you snooze you lose ! Saturday and Sunday’s walks are to be decided
depending on weather and the group’s ability. Expect hardish
Wainwright mountain routes over 9 miles with icy steep rocky paths, scree and
scrambling but nothing too severe, great fun and well within most people’s
ability. Beginners are welcome, we want you to come
and you will be supported but try do a few Yorkshire Dale practice walks
first to test your ability and equipment. Sorry places can’t be reserved without full
payment, or sold as individual nights. The total cost is only £19.99 for 2 nights.
